Lavender - Not just for the oldies!
I have decided to share with you some products and services that I think may be useful to you. My first recommendation is Lavender Essential Oil!
This oil was my saviour when anxiety presented! It helped... massively!
Before I was clued up on essential oils, if someone suggested lavender, I'd recoil in horror and protest that 'I am not of a 'certain age' so I will not entertain the idea!'
I eventually learnt that lavender is a potent medicinal plant used by the ancient romans to scent their bathing water and because they swore by it relieving ailments such as sore throats, indigestion and superficial wounds. Ancient Greeks used Lavender as perfume whilst Egyptians used it for embalming and for massage oils. Fast forward to the Tudor period and then on to the Victorian era where people would use Lavender to wash with, to clean with, as an air freshener and even to treat head lice!!
Lavender essential oil has a multitude of uses in the modern era of today. It is widely recognised as having a calming, relaxing effect on the body and on the mind. Backed up by scientists and pharmaceuticals and according to several studies, lavender is found to have lessened anxiety and improved mood.

Lavender is particularly useful for stress and anxiety and can be used in a number of ways.
Diffused in an aromatherapy warmer to scent a room
Rubbed into pulse points to promote calm
By adding a few drops to your bath with a teaspoon of carrier oil
A few drops applied to your pillow to help drift into a peaceful sleep
I cannot recommend Lavender essential oil enough. It is my go to when I need calm. Here's a link to one of the best oils I have come across, made by a brand called Neal's Yard who source their ingredients naturally and organically. You can purchase their Lavender Oil here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004O1ZJUM/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=thenssd-21&creative=6738&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B004O1ZJUM&linkId=392eb19bd41d28a06bf3a9ebac0dea27
Another brand I like is Tisserand. They have this wonderful 'little box of mindfulness' which is a collection of 3 essential oil roller balls to rub onto your pulse points to help clear your mind and bring you back to the present moment! Purchase it here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07CT39BC4/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=thenssd-21&creative=6738&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B07CT39BC4&linkId=afd900612bb8757e28aea81be8ca74f8
Tisserand also have an aromatherapy oil diffuser so that you can warm your oils to create a calming atmosphere at home. Heres the link:
